Os que moram nos subúrbios da capital cumprem a rotina típica dos trabalhadores ditos normais, balançando em vagões de trem ou metrô a caminho do escritório. Deputados mais dispostos vão de bicicleta, se o frio ainda não é inclemente. Quem foge às regras e se atreve a pegar um táxi, sofre a fúria vulcânica da mídia e do eleitorado. Na manchete do jornal sueco Expressen, estampou-se a ousadia de uma deputada: ”Mikaela Valtersson (Partido Verde) pegou táxi em vez de tomar o trem”.
Ao cruzar a fronteira da imprudência, a deputada Mikaela Valtersson (Partido Verde, Miljöpartiet) virou notícia em vários jornais: Mikaela cometeu o desatino de gastar o dinheiro do contribuinte pegando táxi. Segundo o jornal Expressen, a investigação das despesas da deputada mostrou que em 2011 ela pegou táxi 43 vezes durante um período de seis meses, ”a um custo de 17 mil coroas (cerca de 2,6 mil dólares) do dinheiro do contribuinte, apesar de morar perto de uma estação de trem”.
O jornal indica que muitas corridas de táxi foram feitas tarde da noite, do Parlamento ou da estação central de trem de Estocolmo até a casa da deputada. Outras corridas foram feitas pela manhã. A deputada alegou que foi um período de trabalho excepcionalmente intenso, durante o qual trabalhou dia e noite com a questão do orçamento.
”Tive que trabalhar muitas vezes até tarde da noite, em horários em que havia pouco ou nenhum serviço de trem. Foi um período tão extenuante que me senti obrigada a pegar táxi para poder dar conta de trabalhar”, disse Mikaela, logo ela, representante do partido mais contundente na elegia ao transporte coletivo.
”Jamais tomaria um táxi em vez de trem, em circunstâncias normais”, defendeu-se Mikaela. Que acabou perdendo, naquele ano, a eleição interna para a liderança do Partido Verde sueco (o partido não tem um presidente, e sim dois porta-vozes, sempre um homem e uma mulher).
”O Presidente do Parlamento também vem de metrô para o trabalho”, diz Maria Skuldt, da Secretaria de Imprensa do Parlamento.

Dizer que “tudo que é feito pelo Estado é mais caro e ineficiente” não encontra respaldo no Brasil, pois empresas estatais que foram privatizadas na privataria tucana, hoje apresentam problemas de qualidade de serviços com preços elevados. A concorrência não surte efeito, pois se unem em cartel. Isso quando não se fundem eliminando a disputa. Sem uma legislação que proteja o consumidor e uma fiscalização eficiente do governo, a iniciativa privada pode ser pior que a estatal. E países como a Suécia e Noruega tem serviços estatais com tanta qualidade e eficiência, ou até mais que empresas privadas.

Na Inglaterra também está rolando um escândalo por motivos parecidos, só que foi um deputado que contratou motorista particular, em vez de pegar táxi.
E aqui em São Paulo, no governo da Erundina, uma secretária municipal da (des)cultura, tinha dois motoristas que eram obrigados a ficar servindo a madama até a madrugada, visto que a fulana vivia em festas todas as noites. E olha que a fulana é famosa principalmente pela grossura.
