Apesar do atentado, "somos uma cidade aberta", diz prefeita de Estocolmo

“Estamos tristes. Mas estamos também unidos neste dia em que buscamos retomar nossa rotina de vida, para demonstrar que Estocolmo é uma cidade aberta para todos aqueles que desejam viver em paz e na democracia”, disse à RFI a prefeita da capital sueca, Karin Wanngård
A via de pedestres onde o ataque perpetrado na última sexta-feira (7) matou quatro pessoas e feriu outras 15 foi reaberta. Em todo o centro da capital sueca, bandeiras ainda tremulam a meio mastro.

Ao longo de toda a Drottningatan (Rua da Rainha), era intenso o movimento de pessoas que ainda tentam superar o trauma provocado pelo ataque. Muitos, a caminho do trabalho, paravam para depositar flores. Outros liam os cartões deixados junto aos memoriais erguidos em respeito às vítimas, antes de seguirem apressados. “O terror não tem religião”, dizia uma das mensagens.

“De alguma forma, queremos que a vida volte ao normal, porque não queremos que o ódio vença. Por isso, sentimos uma espécie de dever de voltar à vida normal”, disse a sueca Jenni Ahltröm.
Carros de polícia foram cobertos por mantos de flores, em sinal de reconhecimento pela rápida ação dos policiais que, fortemente armados, continuam patrulhando a capital.

Na parede da loja de departamentos contra a qual o caminhão usado no ataque se chocou, após avançar contra pedestres que caminhavam pela via, um tapume provisório foi transformado em um imenso mural de mensagens deixadas pela multidão, que permanece concentrada no local.
“Descansem em paz. Vocês nunca serão esquecidos”, escreveu a sueca Maria Schwebke.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Ataque poderia ter ocorrido em qualquer outro lugar, diz vice-prefeita
Ao meio-dia (7h de Brasília) desta segunda-feira, um minuto de silêncio foi observado em toda a cidade, em homenagem às vítimas do ataque. Um dos principais pontos de concentração da multidão foi a praça Sergelstorget, situada em frente à loja de departamentos atingida no ataque, a Åhlens.
“Ainda tentamos entender o que aconteceu, e por quê isso aconteceu. Viemos aqui para demonstrar nossa solidariedade às vítimas, mas também nossa determinação de defender o tipo de sociedade que construímos na Suécia, onde todos são iguais e têm os mesmos direitos”, disse Joakim Lubelius, que trazia o filho no colo.
Após o minuto de silêncio, centenas de pessoas, incluindo operários vestidos com uniformes de trabalho, fizeram fila para depositar flores, ursos de pelúcia e cartões nas escadarias da praça.

“Este ataque poderia ter ocorrido em qualquer outro lugar. Não se trata de religião, ou de cor da pele. Trata-se de um terrível ataque à nossa sociedade. Por isso, precisamos mostrar nossa força para defender nossa sociedade aberta. E juntos, somos fortes”, disse à RFI uma das vice-prefeitas de Estocolmo, Emilia Bjuggren.
